"Singapore will truly be celebrated as the destination to be seen in, illuminated by the best and latest in events & entertainment" - International Advisory Council of Tourism 2006.

Who We Are
The team is responsible for developing the Events & Entertainment industries for tourism performance in line with STB's vision for Tourism 2015. We work closely with event organizers, creative entrepreneurs, nightspot owners, producers, impresarios and media partners to develop and enable strategic products to flourish and strengthen their tourism appeal.

The team provides comprehensive support to strategic tourism partners by:
  1. Spearheading initiatives to groom local industry and attract foreign investment
  2. Administering grants and incentives to catalyze tourism growth and development through events and entertainment
  3. Liaising and co-ordinating Board marketing and communications support
  4. Co-ordinating inter-agency efforts for tourism developmental projects
  5. Developing linkages and cooperative efforts between tourism trade and events & entertainment industries.
Our Vision
Events & Entertainment aims to establish Singapore as the "Events & Entertainment Capital of Asia". From events such as pop concerts, opera, blockbuster musicals, ballet, music festivals, sports to art exhibitions, Singapore's events and entertainment scene will be populated by round-the-clock shows and activities. Singapore will be the premiere events destination in Asia with the most prolific spectrum of events of the highest calibre, catering to the entire range of customer segments.

The city's after-dark scene will be buzzing from big branded clubs to the most intimate of cosy bars and pubs. Nightlife in Singapore will be the place to be seen and heard for the trendy and style conscious. Singapore's unique edge will be its ability to offer a safe, exhilarating and fast-paced entertainment scene.

Whether a visitor is here for a weekend break or on a business trip, they will be drawn inexorably by the palpable sense of excitement and buzz.

Our Goals
To achieve four key outcomes:
  1. A big variety of the world's best events year-round for visitors to enjoy
  2. Top choice and top destination for the best acts and performances in Asia
  3. Dance and clubbing destination for the best parties and most happening spots in the region.
  4. Round-the-clock events & entertainment experiences for visitors to enjoy
The Road We Have Taken
The key strategies in place for realizing the vision of Singapore as the Events & Entertainment Capital of Asia are:
  1. Brand
Brand Singapore as the "Events & Entertainment Capital of Asia," a first recall destination for a wide variety of quality events, shows & nightspots.
  2. Product Development
Develop compelling entertainment precincts with iconic nightspots, branded shows & events.
  3. Marketing
Strengthen the marketing of events, shows & nightspots information and experiences to contribute to increasing tourist expenditure.
  4. Industry & Audience Development
Develop a strong Events & Entertainment industry and cultivate an audience appetite for more Events & Entertainment in Singapore
