Singapore Education
Education Services was established to position Singapore as a premier education hub in the region. Education in Singapore draws from the latest and best in knowledge around the globe, blending the finest from the east and the west. Here, students have an extensive choice between local and foreign schools, and a wide and diverse array of courses to prepare them for the workplace. Our commitment to education has attracted some of the most prestigious international education institutions such as INSEAD, Chicago Graduate School of Business, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and ESSEC to establish a presence in Singapore. Being at the crossroads of Asia, Singapore is also a great place for students and executives to make friends from around the world and build contacts for future networking possibilities.

The Education Services team will work with the educational institutions and related service providers to cultivate strong industry alliance and to raise awareness of the quality and diversity of programmes available in Singapore. It will coordinate and spearhead the overall brand building and overseas marketing of Singapore Education, as well as initiate activities to facilitate student integration and enhance their overall learning experience in Singapore.

Our target is to increase the international student count from the current 86,000 to 150,000 by 2015.

As the promotion agency for Singapore Education, the Singapore Tourism Board engages in a myriad of promotional activities undertaken by the Education Services Division.

The Education Services Division is made up of three departments focusing on their respective education services, namely:
Basic Education and Higher Learning Department

Education Market Development (EMD)
The Department's core duties involve promoting education, from preparatory to post-graduate studies. EMD works closely with educational institutions and other education providers to understand the industry and develop the necessary channels to promote Singapore Education. Promotional efforts include participating in and organising overseas education roadshows to increase brand awareness and reach out to the target markets.

Enrichment & Corporate Training Department
Education Strategic Marketing (ESM)
ESM drives programmes that impact the long term sustainability and growth of the education industry, specifically in the areas of brand and communications positioning, global trend and competitive analysis, upgrading industry capabilities and crisis management.

Student Services Department (SSD)
SSD provides services for international students, ranging from orientation programmes for new students to help them assimilate into the new environment to education counseling services for students who would like to learn more about available courses in Singapore. There is also a facility for student feedback that would serve to enhance the educational experience for the international student community here. SSD manages the Singapore Education Services Centre (SESC), to provide a walk-in facility for international students looking for the services mentioned above. The Overseas Students' Association (OSA) set up to provide student members with opportunities to develop and foster intellectual, cultural, social athletic and recreational interests and skills has its office at SESC.

Education Services Division is located in the Singapore Tourism Board headquarters.
